THE BLACK DAM

The Black Dam is located beside Shaws Lake on the East side. Shaws Lake is labelled 23 on the map. It is South of Markethill, beside Glenanne.

Water from Shaws Lake travels into the Black Dam. It was constructed to power an old mill just below the dam in the Townland of Lisdrumchor Upper.
