THE TOWNLAND OF CORNAGRALLY

The townland of Cornagrally is in the parish of Loughgilly in Armagh County. It is labelled number 12 on the map.

The 1826 Schools Commission report describes the school in the townland:

"Cornegrally - A pay school under the care of Thomas McCormly, of the Roman Catholic denomination, who was in receipt of 1.5d per week. The school was held in a "waste barn" in which 24 scholars were educated."
