THE TOWNLAND OF DRUMNAMETHER

The 1826 Schools Commission report describes the school in the townland:

"Drumnamether - A pay school under the care of Elizabeth Walker, of the Church of Ireland denomination, who was in receipt of 60l. The school was conducted in a cabin, rented at 1l. The number of students is not stated."
