Enclosure of uncertain period
SMR NO: ARM 017:017
CONDITION: NO VISIBLE REMAINS
"A circular earthwork c.35m in diam. is marked on the OS 6" map of 1863. The site lies within the garden of a manse, on a low eminence overlooking Markethill, but there are no visible remains."
The 1826 Schools Commission report describes the school in the townland:
"Waterstreet, Edenkennedy - A pay school under the care of John Conway, of the Roman Catholic denomination, who was in receipt of 20l per annum. The school occupied two rooms in a slated house, built at a cost of 10l. The school provided education for 30 scholars."
