The townland of Mullaghmore is in the parish of Loughgall in Armagh County. It is labelled number 41 on the map.
Paterson (Armachiana, Vol. 16, p.24) notes:
...Mullach signifies the top or summit, and as a root word it forms the beginning of upwards of 400 names.

"A local inhabitant remembers a "fort" in this townland, levelled some years ago. It was probably located near the summit of a low hill at the grid reference given, but no trace now survives.
